Nice to meet you!

I’m J. L. De La Rosa. A creator at heart, I love exploring mediums to tell stories. While I have written content and created videos from an early age, podcasting, coding, and grammar classes in my early teens set in motion a life-long love of interviewing, digital creation, and grammatical structure.

Thanks to long hours and the encouragement of family, I graduated from high school at the age of sixteen, earning my associates degree in English at Genesee Community College a year later. Studying excellent writers, those semesters strengthened my writing abilities and taught me to communicate effectively.

Currently a proud junior at SUNY Oswego pursuing a BA degree in Broadcast and Digital Media, I am excited to graduate in 2028.

I have experience with multiple software and programs:

  • Audacity
  • Adobe Premiere
  • Canva
  • Google Workspace
  • Manual HTML and CSS
  • Microsoft Office
  • Python
  • WordPress

My background has been human-centered, helping others and sharing their stories. From a scholarship-winning essay centered around my local library to years of experience in childhood education, I want my work to reveal something new and meaningful to the people that engage with it.

I am looking for internships and job opportunities to sharpen my skills and learn more about different industries. After graduation, I hope to begin working as a user experience designer or a book editor, two intriguing fields that utilize my strengths.

When I am not studying, I enjoy reading, weightlifting and cardio training, spending time with friends, and learning new languages.
